I had someone ask me the question of whether it is too late to sign up...the answer is
NO!
The rule that will be followed is as long as your entry is postmarked by Nov. 1st then you are good to go. If you mail your entry right at the cutoff, then just enter your mileage as normal and I will watch for your postal entry.
Once Nov. 1st gets here, I will put up a post each day titled like "DAY ONE....." and the runners (or WALKER's!) job is to simply post a comment to that post each day before midnight. Midnight will be a hard cutoff...the only exception I can imagine is if you tell me ahead of time you are in an ultra or something and unable to post. I can post it for you in that case. You CAN have someone else log in and post your miles for you if you cannot get to an internet connection. Just have them put it under your name...
Nudge your friends and running partners to join this along with you! The more names on the list will make it more fun to watch it dwindle day by day.
Mike
PS question - does anyone think they would have preferred to enter by combination of email and PayPal? I have that available if that would have been helpful, but hadn't thought of that yet.

Mike you need to add the other states to the list of states participating.
Thanks! Got it. And if I screw up somebody's state please correct me!
I'd love to help with the state-diversity thing. My junk is stored in Texas, "erik's trailer" (vintage Spartan)is in New Mexico, I work in California, and my employer is in New York. If I forget to register in time, I will still give $10 to NAMI, and $10 to Mike's hairdresser.
Erik - I don't know whether to add you or not! Postmark the registration by the 1st and you are in! And glad to have you man!
