Just an update.
I made it to California and my grandma passed away early this morning at 0200. My mom and I were there with her. She went peacefully. Thanks for all your blessings.
BTW I am now on PST. I will still try to get in my run today but we are going to be busy. Anyway Mahalo. Jah Bless.

Very interesting morning! First at 3:45am my loving wife can't sleep so she decides to wake me up and (fill in the blank). So I figure that I am up so I will go and run for two hours before I take kids to school. Bad idea I was exhasted from getting home from work at 11pm and had spagetti legs. So needless to say I only made it 10 miles of run/walking before it was time to take kids. Then once I finished with that I walked another mile before a 10 am Dentist appt. Then I just finished walking 3 more to give me 14 miles for the day. Now it is time for a 10 min nap before I pick kids up and we are off to Tulsa for the weekend and I hope the Route 66 half marathon on Sunday.
I did 7 miles through the neighborhoods this morning, then ran 7 miles home from work this evening.
Josh, sorry to see that you dropped. Your posting on the ultralist was the last little nudge I needed to get me to sign up.
On On to week three.

Ran trails today with our prize sponsor Vince Rucci from Vertical Runner. We did 12+ on the Buckeye Trail and then I did 2 more on the Valley Bridle Trail. It may have been the last warm day this year in Ohio. We started at 12:30 in the afternoon...it was a beautiful day for a trail run.
Looking forward to more trails tomorrow.

Ran 14m tonight after work all roads and thru our quaint little downtown. Continious run but I must admit to a few short walking breaks...ok quite a few short walking breaks. Mike you are right this thing is starting to grind me out. running a 14 is really no big deal but mentally coping with the fact that the reward for completing it gets you a ticket to more the next day and the next day and the next and one starts to ask himself WHY? We are fast approaching the realm of "senseless suffering"....but ah...the competitive juices have been awakened! So I ask the other runners...it this Man v. Man or Man v. Self?

Devon.
I am very sorry to hear of your grandmothers passing. I will say a prayer for you and your family during this difficult time.
Michael.
Ran 14 in San Jose, mostly along creek trails, carefully avoiding the vagrants camped down there. Got my first blister -- it was the socks. This is getting to be time-consuming, but not exhausting or painful yet. Some people just thought I was weird. Now they have proof.

Did 14 miles on roads with the help of my AWESOME step-dad Sam. He rode along side of me on his bike and took me on a tour of Salinas via my feet and his tires. We had a good time stopping off at mile 6 to get a Jamba Juice and then running pretty much all of Main st. I will be here until Monday and he plans to ride with me tomorrow as well. Bring on 15. This is actually getting challenging, Thanks Mike:) Jah Bless and Mahalo Sam.

All 6 in for day 14. I was out in the woods all night doing the 12 hour Rogaine! Blog in a day or two as I am tired and busy as the single papa.
