DAY 23 (276 miles per runner)

I mean, the Michael Jordan and Lebron James photos were all out there for the taking, but this guy seemed to say "USE ME!!!!"

A beautiful morning in Columbus; sunny and a little warmer than the past 3-4 days. I did 10 miles along the Scioto bike path and then 2 x 6.5 mile loop with my Human Powered Racing teammates.

Won't keep you in suspense today....slept in and did 0 miles this AM. If I do run this evening it will be no more than 8. I am out. I am free. Good luck you 2.
No excuses - just didn't want it.
I am weak.

So now we are waiting on Erik...I don't think Erik is done yet...he has relatively good weather and I think he wants this.

Dave, you the man!

Ted, you are a machine!

I can't fathom this contest.

Lloyd - I may draw some ire with this statement, but in some ways this is one of the hardest "ultras" I also can't fathom being in it as long as these guys, although next year I hope to make it farther than this year. I truly believe one of these two guys can go beyond 30....but time will tell.

Congratulations Dave P. in getting your life back.
Well I didn't have any racing teammates, but I jogged a few miles with Eddie, a U.S. attorney preparing for the Tucson marathon. I just asked him what he was preparing for and we ran a few miles together. I finished 11 before church, then went another 5 on the church's desert property. Then I went home to spend time with my nephew. I finished up another 5 before sunset and just did the last 2 with my sister at 5.5mph. All soft miles.
Aside from a tight hamstring, I'm feeling good. Ted you seem a little more dedicated than I am, but I'll try to hang with you a little longer. I do have an unfair advantage here in El Paso, elevation 4000' -- golf balls go farther, planes go faster in thinner air. So do I.
