DAY 24 (300 miles per runner)

Signs, signs, everywhere are signs.

Yes that is right, 300 miles run by Erik and Ted WHEN they finish today. Wow. Let's remember that if either makes it to 31 miles, the pot will at least double for charity....

I can report that Ted is at least 7-8 miles into his run today, as I met him at 4:20 am on the road and took a little video of him running...

Out the door at 3:20 this morning, met Mike at 4:20 and got into work at 6:40, for 20 miles.

Dave, well done. I look forward to meeting you at a future run.

Erik, on we go.

So Mike, we're going to 31 now?

I did 19 miles along the railroad, with scenery I'd never seen around here before -- looked like where the Apaches jump out and attack the stagecoach.
The only problem was that I had 3 more miles to get home, my left hamstring had been bothering me the whole time, the headwinds and the dust picked up and I hit the wall. Yep, I've avoided the wall so far with shorter runs. I got home with short steps, filled up on Fritos, Oreos, and a smoothie, and ran my final 2 miles. My hamstring didn't even bother me.

Well...31 miles doubles the pot...so it is up to you and/or Ted. My bank account is afraid that you can do it...

31 miles will be December 1st...and if either of you pulls it off, I am writing an article and submitting it to Ultrarunning magazine.

When I got in to work it had just started to rain and it continued to rain all day long.

I ran 4.5 miles toward home in light sprinkles. My wife picked me up at 4.5 miles, no need to do extra miles at this point.
