I got going at 2:30pm, ran along the beach, then south along the bike path to Imperial Beach. Stopped at McDonalds and had 2 apple pies for my friend just out out of the hospital and a sundae for myself. With that I was able to get back home in under 9 minutes per mile, for 21.5 miles. With this morning's geriatric mile, I've only got 8.5 left. I'll head to the gym when I'm de-sanded and refueled.
Well guys, you won. I finished up mile 31 on the treadmill, and then decided to make it a 500 month. And tomorrow 1.5 on the beach. Or are you going to make me do 2?
If anyone asks you about your running in the future, you need to call yourself an ultrarunner. I don't know anyone who would deny that. You are solid man...a 500 mile month. Awesome.
I will let you know when I hear back from Vince about your prize package, and get me that Mercy Ministries address and we will get the check to them right away.
Josh - I am expecting to see a check from you soon? Contact me by email and let me know so we can get er done!
Erik, I will be putting up a post soon declaring you the winner!
I had a great month reading all your stories and soaking up the motivation that comes from those stories. Have a great recovery and I shall look forward reading more stories like this in the future.
