DAY 7

Put em down fellas...on your feet and in the comments!

And now, a word for our sponsor - VERTICAL RUNNER: Have you taken the time to check out their website? They are one of the greatest running resources in NE Ohio. A cozy (NOT cramped - cozy) running store that not only is the area's only REAL resource for trail shoes and advice, but also has about everything else you could need. Socks, jogging strollers, GPS, regular watches, nutrition and recovery needs, first aid and stretching needs, hydration packs, bottles, running publications, and a wide assortment of men's and women's clothing for all seasons.

Then on top of all that, they are not just there to sell you stuff, they ARE a large part of the local running community and organize training runs, races, and other beneficial events. They have had nutritional classes, and famous running speakers. They really have it all. If you have a chance and you are in the Hudson, OH area go check them out, they are right downtown on the main street.

7+ in the rain in my neighborhood. Have to measure it on a map, but it was around 7.4. Hard to start, once started, was having so much fun it was hard to stop. :)

This is getting to be not easy. The next week is going to be a challenge for some of us.

7 miles around the valley. I woke up with a head cold:( I will keep going though. Got another 10+ miles planned for tomorrow. Mike I read your blog and it sounded like my run today but without the rain:(

I ran home from work, 7 miles in a light rain. It gave me a chance to try my new rain/wind shirt. It is not particularly breathable, so I ended up about as wet from sweat and condensation as I would have from the rain.

A big thank you to Don for his contribution and for his many years at Mohican. The Mohican course just keeps getting better.

Count me in for next year. I have Kentucky Arches pencilled in for 11/9/09, but that is early enough that I should be able to get the miles in.

First week finished.

Cutting it close again, but still in the game. I ran 3 miles at 6:40 pace this morning, which is just about all out pace for me for that distance on somewhat fatigued legs. I had to work late tonight, didn't get home until 10:30 and just finished my remaining four miles at 11:15
