12+ miles out along High street, back on the Olentangy bike path. A balmy 37 degrees heading out the door.

OK, we are not getting donations based on my plea, so here's another idea.
How about a $20 bet on who is going to be the winner and a $20 bet on that person's total miles. The person who gets each would split the difference with their winnings going to the charity of their choice and the other half going to the RD's charity. Since the RD has nothing to do now, he won't have any problems with keeping track of this new venture.
Are there any gamblers out there?

7 early and 7+ after work (treadmill)....wishing it was Friday (14)already. In 42 miles we will be half done with November and only have 345 more miles to finish up the second half of the month. I feel much better than yesterday.

Did most of my 12 in the sandy desert east of El Paso, avoiding locomotives and Border Patrol SUV's. Cleaned up the rest on a treadmill and a little walking at LAX. Bought me some Glide(TM) today, as well as a knee strap. This serious running is getting expensive. Maybe I'll have to spring for another heart rate monitor.

two runs today. 7 am 5 pm. This may be my last day. Tomorrow will be tough, not sure if I'll be willing to make the time to run. It would have to be very early or very late.

Well thought it might all end tonight since I had my daughter tonight. Having her ride alongside on a sunny warm night was one thing but not when it was 40degrees, rain and 12miles to run. So after some last minute calls, my wonderful ex wife Lora came thru in a pinch and agreed to take her late this evening so I could continue to callenge you guys for this race! (she made me give her props on this post....that was the deal; a little humiliating I admit however she helped me so that I can continue to challange you guys for this thing!) Of course her motives may not be so pure; maybe she is actually enjoying the idea of me inflicting great agony and pain upon myself via this crazy race. On to tomorrow!

YES I am up at 3 am (don't ask) and we are waiting on you Devon!!! 2 hours to go.

I am liking the stories attached to the runs...and some of the admissions of how hard it is getting....

I like Don's betting idea. It may be late into the contest for that though....

I hope if everyone enjoys this, you all help plug it for next year and drag your friends in by peer pressure.

Still a long way to go on this one though with 7 runners left....let me not think about next year.

Today was rough. I found out that my grandma is passing away and I am leaving tomorrow to go be with my mom and stepdad in California. After a very emotional day my emotionally battered self got up at 1900 and put in my 2:47 12 miles via the roads around my house. I don't know how I am going to fit in my running tomorrow but I will try for sure. If I don't make it I will post that I am dropping and will be back next year. Just do the right thing in your heart Devon...no one can do any more.

I lost my Mom this year and was lucky to have time with her ahead of time to say what I needed to say.
